Azores - four seasons in one day

I visited Azores in January when the temperature in Poland was below zero Celsius degrees. Very soon it turned out that it was a perfect destination for active holidays.

Exploring the island of Sao Miguel

We arrived to Sao Miguel in the morning so we were able to start exploring the island straightaway. We knew that the waether on Azores is unpredictable and that's why we wanted to make use of the sun and start our holiday with the visit to Sete Cidades - a village with an amazing view on Lagoa Verde and Lagoa Azul.

In the village of Sete Cidades we can find two lakes joined together. If the weather is nice, you can notice that one of the lakes is blue whereas the other is green - that's why they are called Lagoa Azul and Lagoa Verde.

As the weather on Azores can change few times within half an hour, we decided to go back from Sete Cidades to Ponta Delgada -the capital city of Sao Miguel. The town is small but charming with white buildings and cows next to the main roads.
